HellRaisers and EnVyUs are the final two teams through to the playoffs at DreamHack Open Atlanta after defeating Misfits and GODSENT, respectively.
Day two at DreamHack Atlanta began with Group A's elimination match, featuring the two qualified teams, Misfits and Binary Dragons. Sean "seang@res" Gares's men were able to wrap things up on just two maps, but in both cases the North Americans had to come from behind to overturn the deficit in the second half with strong CT displays.
NRG and GODSENT then faced each other for survival in Group B, with the Swedish side running out 2-1 victors. After losing the first map, Inferno, by a 16-7 scoreline, NRG responded by taking Mirage, 16-8, thanks to strong individual performances by Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte and Jacob "FugLy" Medina, but in the end it was all for naught as GODSENT won the final map after being down 6-1, with Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun and Simon "twist" Eliasson leading the charge.
EnVyUs march on to the playoffs to face Renegades
The first decider match of the day, featuring Misfits and HellRaisers, started with a one-sided Overpass, which went the way of the Europeans after they racked up 13 rounds on the CT side. On Inferno, the North Americans gave a much better account of themselves, but despite moments of brilliance from Hunter "SicK" Mims and François "amanek" Delaunay, both of whom picked up an ace, they were unable to prevent Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow's men from taking the map in the 30th round and the series.

Group B's decider match saw Envy and GODSENT play out a very close game on Cache. Despite disco doplan and twist once again providing great numbers, the Swedish team still fell short in overtime. Cobblestone, the map that followed, was a completely different story as Envy quickly reached 16 rounds following an impressive all-round performance.
