Day two of the CIS LAN Championship began with a surprising result as Kazakhstani side PARTY edged out PiTER 2-1 in the first round of Group B, which also saw Vega Squadron move past USSR, featuring FlipSid3 Tactics stand-in Vadim "DavCost" Vasilyev, by the same scoreline. The Upper Bracket final was highly contested from map one, but in the end it was Vega Squadron who claimed bragging rights thanks to a great performance from their Ukrainian player, Dmitriy "jR" Chervak. PARTY and PiTER would meet each other once again in the decider match, but this time around it was the Russian side who came out on top, which means that the Kazakhstani side, without a doubt the surprise package of the tournament so far, will have to fight for survival in the Lower Bracket.
